A BRAND NEW ARTS HUB FOR LONDON

One of the largest regeneration projects of recent years in Europe, Woolwich Works is a multi-disciplinary arts hub set in the historic Woolwich Arsenal district, a project overseen and funded by Greenwich Council designed to rival and offer an alternative to the South Bank complex, and to become an internationally renowned centre for music, visual arts, performance, theatre and more. Deeply embedded in the heart of the community, Woolwich Works is also an asset of huge value to the local area drawing on the diverse cultural heritage of this vibrant part of London.

A SOUTH EAST LONDON RENAISSANCE

Drawing on the combination of a visually striking site and a constantly changing calendar of exciting and eclectic events, Mance Communications were briefed to create an engaging overarching plan for Woolwich Works as an accessible and exciting new venue (in fact multiple venues on a single site) for London and the UK, and at the same time draw attention to individual activities drawn from the busy yearly program including seasonal festivities and live appearances by globally significant cultural figures. Sensitivity to the venue’s importance as a local asset was vital in order to engage with the local Royal Borough of Greenwich community as major stakeholders.

PART OF THE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE

Utilising the opening of the Elizabeth Line station in Woolwich in May 2022 as a key driver to promoting ease of accessibility, Mance Communications have built a strong story around this significant new addition to the London cultural landscape and have created a cohesive and coherent strategy for both current relevance and future longevity
