One of the largest covered spaces in London dedicated to drinking, eating and entertainment, Big Penny Social has quickly become an important centre in East London for creative events and the artistic community. The Big Penny name draws from a local event, where the Walthamstow coin mill would mint penny tokens and run charity fundraisers called ‘Penny Socials’. Mance Communications worked with Big Penny Social as it transformed from Truman Social Club into the successful and valued hub it is today, offering a rotating selection of local beers, sourdough pizzas and legendary Sunday roasts.

SPREADING THE LOVE

With a dizzying range of activities including live music, theatre, sport and seasonal celebrations which are constantly changing and coming on board, Mance Communications were required to concentrate on key business drivers and focus on newsworthy and media-friendly headline events. Using the principle of a great local venue as the focus, Mance Communications opened up the conversation to a wider audience and geographical base.
