One of the largest covered spaces in London dedicated to drinking, eating and entertainment, Big Penny Social has quickly become an important centre in East London for creative events and the artistic community. The Big Penny name draws from a local event, where the Walthamstow coin mill would mint penny tokens and run charity fundraisers called ‘Penny Socials’.
